Lights
By the time I wanted to leave the parade had started, and there's no going around that thing once it gets going, so I just took photos. Fortunately I managed to catch all the trains and make it back to the hotel. And get some sleep too.
By the end of the day I was just happy to have a bed to dive head first into; it hardly even mattered that my feet had become an unspeakable mess from being moist all day. A lesson I will not soon, if ever, forget: Never walk around for 12+ hours with soggy feet.
